Aepona Powers Payment and Settlement for U.S. Cellular’s Tone Room Deluxe

San Francisco, US – October 6th, 2010 - Aepona, the software company that enables a new era of profitable collaboration between mobile operators and content providers, today announced that its Payments & Settlement Engine (PSE) has been deployed as part of the business infrastructure for U.S. Cellular’s new Tone Room Deluxe storefront.

Featuring a catalog of more than 120,000 tones, U.S. Cellular’s Tone Room Deluxe is a service that invites customers to personalize their service with ringtones and ringback tones from their favorite artists. Ringtones and ringbacks can be purchased directly from their handset or via the web at http://toneroomdeluxe.uscellular.com/

This enhancement to U.S. Cellular’s Tone Room Deluxe service demonstrates Aepona’s commitment to developing a strategic monetization system for U.S. Cellular’s on-deck content offerings. The PSE allows U.S. Cellular customers to purchase Tone Room Deluxe content and have charges added via their mobile phone bill, which significantly improves the customer experience.

“Thanks to the partnership with Aepona, we continue to meet our customers’ needs when purchasing Tone Room Deluxe products and services online,” said Joe Settimi, Senior Director of Product at U.S. Cellular. “Integrating these purchases into our billing system also allows us to provide our customers with the quality support they deserve.”
