SYSLORE IAL v5 PROVIDES FURTHER IMPROVED ACCURACY AND PERFORMANCE
February 28, 2011, Syslore Ltd., the leader in intelligent, high-performance data matching and address recognition solutions for postal, logistics and mailing companies, today announced the general availability of Syslore IAL v5, the 5th generation of Syslore IAL (Intelligent Address Lookup) solution.
Syslore IAL is a state-of-the-art, heavy-duty Intelligent Address Lookup system for client applications, handling address, person and company name data in digital form. The new features of Syslore IAL v5 include further improved recognition rates with automatized configuration, online data updates and a web-based monitoring tool with customizable alerts.
Syslore IAL 5 is designed in particular for postal, logistics and mailing companies, requiring maximum address recognition accuracy despite inexact, erroneous, inconsistent and bad quality data, scalability for massive query and data volumes and a robustness with high availability architecture. The fully 64-bit design of Syslore IAL enables the use of extremely large address databases, so it is an ideal solution for postal services and logistics companies to get more value and business benefits from their extensive address data assets.
Syslore CTO, Lauri Loven, comments: "Syslore R&D has put a great deal of effort into further developing and optimizing the solution for even better performance with the need for less hardware resources. The algorithmic base of Syslore IAL 5 guarantees that a minimal amount of processor time, necessary for producing complete results, is used when performing a query. Further, it is built to be extremely parallelizable: the communication overhead is very small, compared to the utilization of individual processing units. The throughput of Syslore IAL E can thus be scaled up practically indefinitely".
The new and further improved capabilities of Syslore IAL 5 include:
- Supports the further improvement of the recognition rates with automatized configuration as the system learns and optimizes itself automatically to the used dataset
- Revised results scoring for easier client-side discrimination
- Supports the simultaneous processing of multiple queries and on-line address database updates
- The fully 64-bit design enables the use of extremely large address databases with long change histories.
- A web-based health monitoring support with customizable alerts
- A fault-tolerant, high availability design with fully redundant hardware and software components
- Supports centralized deployment for easy maintenance.
- Easily scalable through the addition of new computation nodes as blade servers
